Adi Island
Adi (Indonesian: ''Palau Adi'') is an Indonesian island. ==Location== Adi is located approximately 450 km south of the Equator in the Seram Sea off the western coast of New Guinea. It is severed from the Bomberai peninsula by Street Nautilus, the narrowest width of which is only 10 km. Adi marks the southern border of the Kamrau Bay; beyond lies the open Seram Sea. ==Geography== The island is about 158 km² in an elongated shape. From its most north-westerly point to Cape Watukebo in the south-east it measures roughly 44 km, with a maximum breadth from south-west to north-east of nearly 7 km. The highest point is in the north-west and approximately 200 m above sea level. The main setttlement is the north-centrally located village of Manggawitu.
